My worst fear is that I carelessly put them in storage on my sled and scratch the hell out of the lense (I've done this with many other normal goggles).Īnyway, I'll stop before I go on forever. I can't speak of the durability, but at this price they better last.I would probably fabricate a battery pack if I wanted one rather than pay what it costs.+Comfort, fit (Especially over glasses) seemed equal to or slightly better than other goggles I've used.-I don't know what the replacement shield costs but I'm sure it isn't cheap.+On sleds with better air flow I think these would work even better.+They seem to work well but I do need to try them on a cold (+/-They are expensive, but I don't mind paying for stuff that works. All throughout this once initially clear the goggles stayed clear throughout. After maybe 10 minutes and a few cycles of this my glasses stayed clear. Sit down again and in a minute or so my glasses would fog again with warm moisture. However I could ride and stand up for maybe 10+ seconds and they would clear for a bit. I started the sled and ran it for a minute or two and the outer goggles did clear as they got hot. With the balaclava on I steamed them both up immediately when putting them on cold. I finger wiped my glasses (Still a ton of wetness on them) and finger wiped the goggles. I stop, take a break where my mask and glasses get snow covered on my seat and put on my balaclava - Ok, now this will be a real test. Ok, after 42 miles it's snowing like hell. It did appear if I got a break from the snow it would clear eventually. It was snowing at a pretty good clip and I was wishing it would be hot enough to melt snow off as it hit the shield but that's asking too much. Had a light warming sensation around my eyes, not hot, just not cold. (On the new skidoo's you need to be riding or revving the engine to get power) - Maybe a reason to get a battery pack. Took a few minutes of riding to warm it up. For me it's when it's extremely cold and I'm hot or anytime there is a lot of moisture and it's warm (snowing, etc.). What this translates to is that unless I stand I don't get a lot of air behind it so in the conditions I fog, I usually fog bad. Whenever I ride with a full face helmet I need to keep the shield full open. I generally ride with a SkiDoo sno-cross helmet but have a Modular helmet and recently have ridden with my fly adventure helmet with a winter shield. I also wear glasses which also fog when I have issues. The windshield comes up to about half way on the chin guard. My sled is a 2012 SWT and has a large windshield. This is the sled powered unit, I didn't have the battery pack.I know a few folks were interested in them so here is a quick review after my first test. Today was the first day I got to go out and try them. I finally got my goggles a couple weeks ago.
